The Proven Shortcut to Success

Contrary to popular belief, there is a shortcut to success in life.

It is called, “standing on the shoulders of giants”.

For everything you will ever want to achieve in this life, there are chances that someone somewhere has already achieved it.

All you need do is FIND THAT PERSON! ?

He or she becomes your “giant” upon whose shoulder you can stand on.

Standing on the shoulders of giants is a metaphor which means to make discoveries, insights, or progress due to the discoveries or previous work of those who have come before.

There are giants all around us and yet you still see many people struggling to climb to the tree top.?

What happened to “standing on the shoulders of giants”?

The thing is, for you to stand on the shoulder of a giant, you have to be smaller than the giant either by size or by weight, otherwise both of you will collapse like the walls of Jericho. ?

If you are smaller than the giant, he or she will gladly lend you their shoulder.

But if you claim to be the same size as the giant, you will become a threat! ?

What does this mean?

It means, the keys to standing on the shoulders of giants are HUMILITY and WILLINGNESS TO LEARN.?

Pride stinks!

“I too know” stinks!?

They disgust and repel giants away from you.

You need to pocket whatever you think you know because it’s very easy to see right through you.

True giants want to help you but they can’t do that if they feel you know more than them.

The problem with many of us is that we tend to piss giants off because of our pompous attitudes.

I am not saying you should be timid, subservient or sycophantic.

I am saying be humble, confident and ready to learn.

How do you climb on the shoulders of giants?

Two ways:

A. Direct modelling

B. Indirect modelling

★A. Direct Modelling

This is perhaps the simplest and fastest shortcut to success.

It involves learning directly from and working under the mentorship of a giant. You have unrestrained access to him or her and you get to hear their story and study their everyday life.

The irony is that not many people have this privilege, while those who do tend to either overlook, under use, misuse or abuse the opportunity.

You should always strive to find and directly model giants in your field of endeavor. Leverage their knowledge, experience, expertise and network to achieve accelerated success.

★ B. Indirect Modelling

For those giants you can’t get in touch with personally, you can find and follow their “clues” and still learn from them indirectly.

Examples of such clues are videos, podcasts, autobiographies, conferences, seminars and books written by them or about them.

Contained in these “clues” are the maps, milestones, pitfalls, guides and every shortcut you will need to climb on top of any giant’s shoulder with or without their knowledge.

The question now is, do you have the humility and the willingness to learn these clues? ?

In conclusion, you don’t have to “reinvent the wheel”, rather, you can find innovative ways to remodel the wheel for your purposes.

Likewise, you don’t have to climb the tree to the top, rather, you can leapfrog and disrupt your way to the top by “standing on the shoulders of giants”.
