Before you go into any business, it is usually advised that you place the interest of the customer first because “the customer is king”, right?

I don’t dispute that. Serve your customer relentlessly and shelf your personal interest at the initial stage.

But if in the long run, there’s nothing in the deal for you or there is no concrete strategy in place whereby your selfless service to your customer eventually translates into profit, then your business is in for an imminent shutdown.

Unless it’s a Charity or an NGO, no business can survive for long without tangible profits. That may be your source of motivation to do more. Don’t ever forget that…
